I’ve just come from a coaching session and wanted to share with you, just in case you’re in the same position, like this small business owner I was connecting with. What she found was that there was a shift in her priorities, which meant that a requirement of a shift in her business model as well.

Her personal priorities had shifted, which meant that her business priorities needed to shift. This felt very foreign for her as she was very much a high achiever, go-getter leader, with a driver personality style, with work being very much a passion for this business owner. As we had been working for some time on exploring her true core values and developing the right business model for her at the start, this has become very successful for her priorities at that time.

At this stage in her personal and business life, new lifestyle priorities have become very evident for her now wanting more of a balance in her whole life. She wanted to become successful in all areas of her life, not just business.

For her, this looked like spending quality time with her partner, she felt a new sense of wanting to spend more time in the new home she had created, and now family life has also changed for her wanting to be able to relax with those people important in her. She also wanted to make time for self-care without feeling guilty about creating time for herself.

New Evolving Business Model

We went on to discuss what her new evolving business model would look like with these areas included in her life. With further exploration as to how long she spends in her business, as in the amount of hours in the week and the new priorities she wanted to set up as her business style and her lifestyle have now changed. She also noticed she was stepping more into a leadership management role, and wanted to make sure she was being of service in the professional industry that she absolutely loved.

So, the moral of the story here is, no matter whether you are running your own business or running a major organization or working for a company, the importance of listening into your core values, and what this looks like in action, as they shift and change, when you are in transition of your personal and/or professional life.

It is paramount to know what is important to you at any given time, especially as your priorities change and ultimately you take you with you everywhere you go. Are you consciously listening into your deep knowing and trusting yourself to take those new actions consistently?

If you’re not listening into your core values, you will block them in some way that will cause some form of unease in your body. When your body is not in a state of ease and flow, it will cause some form of dis-ease. Most of the time we have disconnected and we are pushing ourselves through the day to get to the other side in order to hopefully arrive somewhere. There is nowhere to get to.

It is important to trust your intuitive knowing by listening into what is right for you, getting to explore and understand who you really are. Identifying what is important to you and the evolution of your values-based business model that works best for you now, so that you can make time for yourself and the important people in your life.

This is what this business owner is now doing – re-evaluating and exploring ways that she can create a business and a life she really loves to live each day.

Yes, it is possible. It’s one step at a time, as there is possibly the shifting of old beliefs systems, old mindset dynamics, and old cultural patterns – whatever the case might be for you. This takes time and patience with conscious practice each day.

So, check in to make sure that your business model is what’s right for you (no one else) so that you can express yourself fully, bringing your whole self and your full potential into your workplace each day.

Notice if there are changes occurring for you right now, to just notice them. Allow and surrender into who you are becoming and remember that purposeful success in an inside job. Enjoy the journey of your evolving business model connecting with who you are now becoming as you express your core values in action.
