Opening the Doors of my Inspirational Office Space

Welcome to my inspirational office space. The space I absolutely love working in with my border collie, Larry, always sitting close by. He is truly my muse.

Opening the doors to my office and sharing my vision and dreams that I have been living for many years. I absolutely love creating a life and business I love that serves my vision and values from the inside out.

I find that many business leaders, entrepreneurs, coaches and consultants come to me in the way of wanting to create a life and business that serves their vision and their values from inside out. They have a vision, a calling or something that they want to actualize.

In the busy world out there today, they tell me they are getting lost inside of all the information and knowledge gathering. They are feeling confused, frustrated and overwhelmed and getting off their path. I can certainly relate to this, as there have often been times I have realized that I have been following someone else’s vision or trying to live someone else’s values. Finding myself needing to pivot, with bucket loads of courage, to get myself back on my true path.

I believe in being ‘in your flow’. I believe in following inspired action and the only way to do that is by staying in alignment with who you truly are. Focusing on your inner vision. No one else can tell you what your inner vision is or how to go about doing that. It is paramount to allow time and space for momentum to gain naturally, for your vision to be realized.

As a coach, I am very passionate about partnering you to articulate, to verbalize and honor your calling from inside out. The real you, knows the essence of who you truly are. The strengths, gifts, talents, abilities, background, knowledge; you are ready to express and put out there into the world.

This ultimately is a part of your calling. It’s a calling that is inside and you have a knowing that you are ready to listen and bring forth. You may feel a little uncertain about your readiness. You may be feeling uncertain about the know-how or even lack of confidence in knowing where to begin.

A little bit about my background. 27 years ago I started a personal training business, when I transitioned from the corporate world as an executive assistant. I was also a world master’s champion sportswoman with a passion for mastering the zone. I wanted to really hone into living and working in my zone. I especially wanted to know how to bring my natural abilities, strengths, gifts and talents together inside a purposeful business that expressed my calling, my vision and honoring who I truly am.

This is what truly inspires me and gets me out of bed each day. If you know that you are sitting on something from inside out and you know that there is a vision – an inner calling – something that you know has transformed your life and you want to bring this out into the world, then you are reading this for a reason.

If you can relate to any of this and you are looking for someone who is not going to tell you what to do, but ultimately see you for your higher vision, your calling, your sounding board, your champion who will inspire you to bring out what it is that is inside of you; to take inspired action trusting your intuition, developing momentum and making sure you stay in alignment with your true path every step of the way; please personal message me if you would like to have a conversation about how we can work together to realize your vision.

Looking forward to hearing more about your calling and the natural creative path that you know needs to be expressed naturally. To ultimately create a life and business you love to live each day.

Creating Guilt-Free Self-Care as a Priority for Yourself

This conversation would have to be the most challenging for many of my clients because they feel selfish or even guilty about taking time out for themselves each day. The only real time they get to take ‘time out’ is if they book a holiday or if they are forced through illness or by even catching a cold.

This is always a signal that you are not living your life in alignment with your truth and possibly trying to compare yourself too much to others and how they are living their life.

Self-Care is the most nurturing and the most effective healing process to living the life you were born to live with mind-body-soul connection. Yes, you have permission to do something nurturing for yourself today, and every other day, so that you can be the best person you can possibly ‘BE’.

It is in Who you are BEING that attracts loving relationships, personal and professional success, wealth, health and happiness.

It takes so much more energy and strain on your mind-body-soul when acting like you have it all together. Give yourself full permission today to let go of the person you think you have to be to succeed and begin to BE true to yourself each day.

If you continue to follow your own path and trust this by taking flowing consistent actions with inner peace and knowing, then you will definitely create a life of purpose, peace and fulfilment in so many ways.

Enjoy this magical image I took whilst walking along the beach at Coogee in Western Australia. One of the many forms of self-care I love.

What brings you joy?

7 Compelling Reasons why working with a Coach is Highly Beneficial

Coaching is fast becoming a recognised profession worldwide, having emerged from a range of fields and disciplines, such as sports, business, leadership and management, psychology and counselling, creative arts, financial planning and management, human growth and potential movements, interpersonal and communication skills training.

The basic philosophy of coaching is that you can have what you most want in life and achieve your potential without the struggle and ‘hard work’ of doing it all alone. Coaching also works on the principal of synergy; that the energy (ideas, focus, clarity) arising from the coach-client partnership is greater than the individual energy brought by the two individuals alone.

What is Professional Coaching?

Professional coaching is an ongoing partnership that helps clients to produce fulfilling and effective results in their professional and personal life. Through the process of coaching, clients improve their performance, deepen their learning and enhance their quality of life.

Why Does Coaching Work?

Coaching works best because of 3 unique feature :

  1. Synergy:The client and coach become a team, focussing on specific goals and needs to accomplish more than you would alone.
  2. Structure:With a coach, the client takes more action, thinks bigger and gets the job done, thanks to the accountability that the coach provides.
  3. Expertise:The coach knows how to help the client to make better decisions, set the best goals, and integrate your professional and personal life for maximum productivity.

7 compelling reasons why working with a coach is beneficial

  • A coach provides a sounding board for new ideas and better decisions.
  • A coach gives honest feedback and unconditional support.
  • A coach will help set clear goals and help you achieve them.
  • A coach integrates your professional and personal life and makes sure that the goals are balanced for sustainable success.
  • A coach helps you gain greater clarity of vision than you can’t alone.
  • A coach focuses on the big picture – not just part of it. Coaching is holistic.
  • A coach helps make sure you are taking smart actions and being as effective as possible.

Who works with a Coach?

Leaders, Small Business Owners, Professionals, Corporate Employees, Entrepreneurs and Individuals in transition use a coach to fix, solve, create or plan something, professionally and/or personally.

What is worked on?

  • Clarifying Vision, Mission and Values of the Business
  • Business Strategic Planning
  • Management and Leadership Skills
  • Making Key Decisions and Designing Strategies
  • Systems and Organisational Strategies
  • Catching up and Getting ahead of the Business
  • Turning Around a Difficult Situation
  • Start up and Business Growth
  • Personal Planning and Work/Life Balance
  • Business and Personal Budgeting
  • Being More Effective with your Time and Resources
  • Prioritising Actions and Projects
  • Simplifying Life

What do People use Coaching for?

The scope of what can be covered in a coaching relationship extends to almost anything in the realm of personal growth, achievement and success, including: finances; health; business; relationships; career or work; community, and; creative, emotional and spiritual expression.

For example, coaches work with clients to help them develop their management or leadership skills; to start a new business or take it to the next level; to accelerate their careers, including through enhancing their promotional possibilities; to clarify their personal vision, to pursue the vocations they’ve always dreamed of, to maintain work/life balance and to retain focus on important quality-of-life goals, or; to improve personal or professional relationships so they are more effective and fulfilling.

In circumstances where people don’t know precisely where they would like to set a goal, a coach can also assist to clarify priorities and directions and to plan with them, strategies for change and achievement.

What does a Professional Coach do?

Coaches offer a structure of regular, focussed sessions – usually ranging from once per week to once per fortnight – which lead to their client’s goals being more conscious and focused, and to increased momentum for action. Coaches are trained to listen, to observe, and to elicit from their clients, solutions and strategies to support client progress and results achievement.

A coach does not regard themselves as the expert. They believe the client is naturally creative and resourceful and it is their job to provide support to enhance the skills, resources, and creativity that the client already has. The coach does not take responsibility for client action and results. Rather, a coach encourages their client to be fully responsible for their own decisions and actions, to acknowledge the importance of their personal aspirations and to encourage them to be accountable for their actions and the results they achieve.

How do I Know Who is the Best Coach for Me?

  1. Be clear on your reasons for hiring a coach. If you’re clear in what you want, prospective coaches can support your search by indicating if and how they can help you.
  1. Look for a coach you can collaboratively work and create with, not simply someone who gives you advice or who appears to be the most experienced.
  2. If you want further information, ask the coach for references from current or past clients, who are similar to yourself.

Creating Emotional Intelligence and Mental Strength

Success in today’s market goes beyond intellectual intelligence and mental strength. In fact, emotional intelligence is the revolutionary leadership style built on futurist thinking that challenges the status quo of leadership, teamwork, management and partnership.

Studies have proven that people with high emotional intelligence have greater mental health, job performance and leadership skills.

Emotional intelligence has been around since the year dot. It has just been given a new label that can be heard and understood in the business world today.

Leadership language has changed over the last 10 years. We use to look at it in terms of data.  Now we look at it in terms of the story we tell. How to create a connection with the people we’re leading. We do that by being consciously aware of the choices we make every single day.

Emotional Intelligence is essential for excellence.

Emotional intelligence is the capability of individuals to recognize and understand your own emotions as well as others. Discern between different feelings, use emotional intelligence to guide thinking and behaviour, and manage and/or adjust emotions to adapt to environments or achieve one’s goals.

One of the greatest challenges when it comes to high emotional intelligence is recognizing the emotions of others and to be aware when your own internal reaction is happening. To remain still in mind and body, making sure you remain fully engaged and connected. Many struggle with this by reacting and disconnecting.

Creating Emotional Intelligence and Mental Strength

Why is emotional intelligence important?

An organization, which is emotionally intelligent, has staff that is motivated, productive, efficient, aligned with business and committed. This creates a team who are more effective, confident, likeable, happy and rewarded.

Emotional intelligence is applicable to every human interaction in business: from staff motivation to customer service, from brainstorming to company presentations. But the subject is far deeper and wider which affects the overall quality of your life.

Creating high emotional intelligence will develop greater awareness to understand and deal with:

  • how we assess people
  • how relationships develop
  • how our beliefs generate our experience
  • how to deal with resistance to change, power struggles, judgment, competition
  • how to access your vision, inspiring leadership, influential success, and much more.

A business, in which the staff is emotionally intelligent, is one, which enables them to work together to maximum effectiveness. This can only increase the organisation’s success.

What skills/knowledge will create high emotional intelligence?

  • Learn ways to better manage your emotional state creating self-motivation.
  • The ability to recognize and understand your own emotions, as well as others.
  • Develop interpersonal skills with greater self-awareness.
  • Learn skills to regulate your thoughts with natural empathy.
  • Identify what your focus blocks are and practice creating mental strength.
  • Gain conscious awareness of the thoughts, behaviours and who you are being.
  • Develop your unique ways to cope with stress and create more balance.
  • Learn to trust and act on your gut instincts and intuition.
  • Create stillness of mind for deeper listening to respond from a place of powerful presence.
  • Commit to full engagement by being present and connected.

The benefits of emotional intelligence:

  • Communicate more succinctly with everyone around you.
  • Better creativity and innovation.
  • Deepened level of employee commitment and engagement.
  • Improve your personal workplace performance.
  • Retention of valued employees.
  • Improved productivity and profitability.
  • Improved mental strength enhancing resiliency.
  • Improved communication and relating ability.
  • Harmonious culture and change management.
  • Fulfilling and connected relationships.
  • Authentic living.
