The Evolution of You – The Business of You

How are you going in these transitional times when it comes to yourself, noticing who am I now and who am I becoming? What is the calling that you are noticing based on who you are now and who you are becoming, in making a difference in the lives of other people, with your service based business, whatever the case might be for you?

What I’m very passionate about is coming from the evolution of myself. Noticing the many different transitional phases, the self-expression of who I truly am and that becomes the evolution of my unique business model. The expansion of my branding model is developed as I connect with the deeper inner vision, the inner voice and the inner calling.

As I express my full self-expression in action with my audiences and my clients, especially noticing a common thread between those people who are also evolving and noticing ‘Where to from here!’ for themselves. This is something that I’ve been very passionate about as far back as I can remember and I must say that it’s been quite a journey.

Creating a Life and Business You Love

So, if you are on a journey of creating a life and a business that you love, as an expression of who you truly are, then just a couple of things I would like to share with you.

First and foremost, to listen in and trust whatever is coming to and through you because this is your channel of what we’re calling your authentic voice, your authentic vision, that then becomes your authentic brand and unique business model.

Listening into that is not a vision that comes from your neck up; it is an inner vision that comes from the neck down that actually speaks to and through you throughout the day, wherever you are, whatever you’re doing. This is where you might be meditating; you might be in the gym, at the beach, walking in the park etc.

Generally it is when you’re in some form of movement, I personally find, is where I get some form of insights. It comes through my body and I’m not thinking about it. This is when you are in alignment and fully connected, listening in. Another tip I want to give you, which is one I absolutely love, is to write those insights down. I notice whatever is coming to and through me.

When you write down your insights and realisations, they become a lot more solidified, instead of having your thoughts going around and around in your head wondering what your next steps are. Every time I write whatever is going around in my head, my obvious next step always appears.

I’m Ready to Express my Life’s Work

I had a client contact me last week who was going through this very challenge. She had done a lot of personal development on herself, had a lot of life experiences, different career paths and was in that transition of knowing her time was now. “I’m ready.” “I want to set my up own business that is an expression of my life’s work.”

This is something that I have done as far back as I can remember, with all the career paths I have experienced, especially in the last 25-30 years, feeling the strong pull to listen in and trust my calling. Especially during times of uncertainty and overwhelm, to courageous trust my inner voice, especially when the voices on the outside can distract you from staying focused on your life’s work.

To take consistent action trusting your inspired next steps, even if you cannot see results on the outside yet. With a deep knowing that you are consistently feeling a sense of momentum because you are taking inspired action committed to your inner vision and inner voice. Knowing that every little step you take is a contribution in the realisation of your inspirational vision.

Articulate your Creative Self-Expression

Stay open and trust the creative channel that is coming to and through you so that you listen into your inner voice. Then notice ways to naturally articulate your creative self-expression in a way where your voice can be heard out in the world by way of a service and/or products that have transformed your life. This is what activates life to your unique authentic brand, because you’ve lived it.

There are many different areas around this subject, but the first couple of tips I want to leave you with today is trusting in going inward, listening into the inner voice, inner vision, inner calling through your channel; and writing down whatever is coming to and through you.

Notice the evolution of your authentic brand and your unique business model taking shape one jigsaw puzzle at a time. It’s putting that out bit-by-bit out into the world so that your authentic voice is being heard and you’re making a difference in the lives of other people with your life’s work.

Are your Personal and Business Priorities Changing?

I’ve just come from a coaching session and wanted to share with you, just in case you’re in the same position, like this small business owner I was connecting with. What she found was that there was a shift in her priorities, which meant that a requirement of a shift in her business model as well.

Her personal priorities had shifted, which meant that her business priorities needed to shift. This felt very foreign for her as she was very much a high achiever, go-getter leader, with a driver personality style, with work being very much a passion for this business owner. As we had been working for some time on exploring her true core values and developing the right business model for her at the start, this has become very successful for her priorities at that time.

At this stage in her personal and business life, new lifestyle priorities have become very evident for her now wanting more of a balance in her whole life. She wanted to become successful in all areas of her life, not just business.

For her, this looked like spending quality time with her partner, she felt a new sense of wanting to spend more time in the new home she had created, and now family life has also changed for her wanting to be able to relax with those people important in her. She also wanted to make time for self-care without feeling guilty about creating time for herself.

New Evolving Business Model

We went on to discuss what her new evolving business model would look like with these areas included in her life. With further exploration as to how long she spends in her business, as in the amount of hours in the week and the new priorities she wanted to set up as her business style and her lifestyle have now changed. She also noticed she was stepping more into a leadership management role, and wanted to make sure she was being of service in the professional industry that she absolutely loved.

So, the moral of the story here is, no matter whether you are running your own business or running a major organization or working for a company, the importance of listening into your core values, and what this looks like in action, as they shift and change, when you are in transition of your personal and/or professional life.

It is paramount to know what is important to you at any given time, especially as your priorities change and ultimately you take you with you everywhere you go. Are you consciously listening into your deep knowing and trusting yourself to take those new actions consistently?

If you’re not listening into your core values, you will block them in some way that will cause some form of unease in your body. When your body is not in a state of ease and flow, it will cause some form of dis-ease. Most of the time we have disconnected and we are pushing ourselves through the day to get to the other side in order to hopefully arrive somewhere. There is nowhere to get to.

It is important to trust your intuitive knowing by listening into what is right for you, getting to explore and understand who you really are. Identifying what is important to you and the evolution of your values-based business model that works best for you now, so that you can make time for yourself and the important people in your life.

This is what this business owner is now doing – re-evaluating and exploring ways that she can create a business and a life she really loves to live each day.

Yes, it is possible. It’s one step at a time, as there is possibly the shifting of old beliefs systems, old mindset dynamics, and old cultural patterns – whatever the case might be for you. This takes time and patience with conscious practice each day.

So, check in to make sure that your business model is what’s right for you (no one else) so that you can express yourself fully, bringing your whole self and your full potential into your workplace each day.

Notice if there are changes occurring for you right now, to just notice them. Allow and surrender into who you are becoming and remember that purposeful success in an inside job. Enjoy the journey of your evolving business model connecting with who you are now becoming as you express your core values in action.

Enjoy watching my video. I hope this supports you to evolve with your personal and business priorities.

Creating your Purposeful Vision

From the inspirational words of Nelson Mandela –

“Action without vision is only passing time, vision without action is merely day dreaming, but vision with action can change the world.”

What is your vision for all areas of your life? Do you have a vision?

A vision embraces the ‘who’ of you. This means the areas that are most important to you in your whole life. Not just on a material level, or on a financial level; it covers you as a ‘whole’ person. It may mean you have to dare to recapture dreams, ignite new ones and have the courage to believe in yourself. Most of all you have to trust that you can achieve whatever you desire in life.

Your vision is made up of how you want to live your life today and your desired future. Most people set it up like it is a future thing alone. If you do this, life will pass you by. Identify what’s important to you today and value those things e.g. relationships, business, family, colleagues, children, health, finances, personal development etc. Whatever they are for you, live them fully today because your life IS today and when tomorrow comes – it will still be today!

Having your own vision gives you more purpose and meaning to life. A vision will support you in times of doubt, especially when you face challenges and you start to question the who, what, and how you want to live your life, based on what’s most important to you.

Having a vision will help you to maintain your focus and achieve your personal and professional ambitions. Your vision must be in alignment with your core values.

When you create a vision in alignment with your values,

the best strategy to close the gap will always appear.

Create your Purposeful Vision

  1. What you want for yourself in life, physically, emotionally, financially and spiritually.

Examples of what you may want for yourself in life are: living a healthy and fit lifestyle, having a successful and profitable business giving a professional and ethical service to people worldwide, practising personal and professional development, being committed to your own growth, spending quality time with your family and connecting with them daily, expressing love to your family and friends.

  1. What you want for others in life, physically, emotionally, financially and spiritually.

Examples of what you may want for others in life are: making a difference in the lives of others by way of listening and being present when in their company, for others to live a wealthy and happy lifestyle, to live a life they love with work being their passion.

  1. What you want to be known for by others, family and the world – leaving a legacy.

Examples of what you may want to be known for in life are: writing a book on what you are passionate about, being a part of a community you believe in and giving of your time, bringing up your children with values that empower them for life.

Enjoy creating your purposeful vision. A vision that is inspirational, knowing it is in alignment with your core values. A vision that is transforming your life, and the lives of others you are connecting with.

Busy Work Life: Is Your Health and Energy Suffering?

Your health and physical energy is always a great guidance for you to see whether you are doing the important things that feed positive energy into your mind, body and soul. If you are feeling low in energy or feeling your health is suffering, then take a good look at what you are promising to do in your day and create plenty of space for yourself to breath, reflect and change your approach.

I have had many people come to me for coaching who are feeling low in energy and concerned about their health. They noticed how much they pushed themselves in their working life, so much so, that they did not make quality time to be with their family, never made time for themselves and very much concerned about their own health.

The truth is that they really do not want to have this year be the same as last year and their commitment is to work on 3 main areas to make these changes.

Busy Work Life: Is Your Health and Energy Suffering?

  1. Simple exercise and relaxation techniques that work for each individual because we all enjoy different forms of exercise. So be careful not to think you ‘should be’ doing a form of exercise based on what others have said to do or what you did 20 years ago. You have changed and it is important to listen to what your body is telling you to do today.

Most of you may know that my background is as a national sportswoman and being a high achiever, I learned about this the hard way – exercise today is a breeze and I listen to what my body needs. My past career was as a personal trainer and the most common thing I heard from people I worked with was that they felt like they had to ‘work hard’ to get results. This is not the truth. It is all about consistency and doing what you enjoy so that it becomes a natural way of life – not a yo-yo situation – take away all the push, relax and enjoy the process as a way of life. Think of it as your commitment to having a healthy lifestyle for life.

  1. The other area we are working on is how to set your day up for success by ‘under-promising and over delivering’. A great tip on setting your day up is to set it up the night before by acknowledging what you did get done during that day, and then choose 3-5 highest priority actions and set these up in the next day’s diary. Add plenty of white space inside your diary for the unexpected. Place lunch breaks in your diary and get away from the office to clear your mind and rejuvenate your batteries for the afternoon.

Now, this is the most important part – take a look at your diary and notice whether you feel heavy and stressed or light and accomplishable. If you feel heavy when looking at your day’s diary set up, then you will definitely set your day up to fail, even before it has begun. Let’s take away the stress by setting up realistic time frames that work for you. Stop trying to push through and collapsing at the end of the day hanging out for that release of some kind.

Then visualise your day exactly the way you would like it to go based on what you have placed in your diary and see yourself going home with plenty of energy to do those things you want to do with your family, time for yourself, exercise etc.

  1. Set up quality time with your family, children, pets, whoever is important to you on a daily basis and ‘be present’ with them. Also, put this time in your diary and do not let yourself down and the people most important in your life.

Become the designer of your life and business success. Keep it super simple as you set up consistent foundations as your daily practice for sustainable energy and vitality.
